Jeff Roberts is an Evangelical Christian, husband, father, and lifelong advocate for constitutional liberty. A general contractor by trade and a freedom-minded citizen by conviction, Jeff has spent decades standing for the principles that make communities strong and government accountable.
Jeff first came to Bonner County in 1990. After building civil construction projects across the Northwest, he and his family returned to North Idaho in 2019 with a clear purpose: to live free, raise their family in a conservative rural culture, and protect the values that make Bonner County exceptional.
Jeff is running for County Commissioner to ensure those freedoms remain intact. With your support, we will hold the line, protect our way of life, and preserve Bonner County as a place where families can thrive without government intrusion.

Functional, Limited, Lawful Government
County government exists to serve the people – not to expand its own authority. Jeff will work to ensure Bonner County operates within a constitutionally sound framework grounded in regulated, limited government, respect for life, and protection of individual liberty and property.
Restoring Professional Leadership
Jeff is committed to restoring professionalism, transparency, and decorum to the Commissioner’s Office. Leadership should inspire confidence – not division. By fostering respect between commissioners, county staff, and citizens, Jeff will strengthen morale, improve retention of key personnel, and rebuild trust in county government.
Defending Property Rights
Private property rights are foundational to freedom. Jeff will stand firmly for landowners’ rights while ensuring fair and lawful processes that protect neighboring properties from unreasonable harm. He believes government’s role is not to control property, but to safeguard the rights of those who lawfully own it.
Responsible and Effective Management
Jeff understands that county government has essential, state-mandated responsibilities — infrastructure, public safety coordination, and core services. He will ensure those duties are fulfilled efficiently and competently, without unnecessary expansion beyond legal mandates.
As a contractor and business owner, Jeff knows how to manage budgets, eliminate waste, and steward resources wisely. He will treat taxpayer dollars with the same discipline and care he applies to his own business.
God Above
Jeff firmly believes our rights come from God, not government. The duty of county leadership is to protect those rights – not diminish them. He will oppose radical policies that undermine local values and instead defend a government that is restrained, lawful, and accountable.
Jeff wants to hear from you. Whether you have questions, ideas, or would like to volunteer, your voice matters. Together, we can keep Bonner County strong.
Jeff was raised in a family deeply committed to constitutional education and limited government. His father served as a regional coordinator for the John Birch Society, instilling in Jeff an early understanding of liberty and civic responsibility.
As a teenager, Jeff witnessed the events of Ruby Ridge in 1992 firsthand. That experience left a lasting impression about the consequences of unchecked government power. Through his professional career Jeff worked as a General Contractor residential home builder, in addition to large civil building contracts around the North Western United States, before returning to North Idaho in 2019. While living and working in Oregon, Washington, and California he saw how excessive regulation and overreach erode communities and freedoms.
He is a lifetime member of the John Birch Society and supported Ron Paul’s 2008 presidential campaign through Campaign for Liberty. Jeff has served as a Republican Precinct Committee Person and held leadership roles in grassroots liberty organizations in both Oregon and Idaho III% protecting individuals from federal overreach.
Those experiences shaped his conviction: Bonner County must remain a stronghold for constitutional governance, local control, and individual liberty. Jeff is committed to ensuring that what has happened elsewhere does not happen here.

Jeff is recently married to his wife Brie, and has 6 children ranging from teens to grown adults. They live off-grid in their cabin, built together as a family in Priest River where they raise animals, grow their own food. Their home reflects their values — faith, hard work, independence, self-reliance, and stewardship of the land.
Summers are spent camping, working the property and building family memories. Winters are a slower season – around the woodstove, in devotion, fellowship, fun and gratitude.
